New York State Salary Transparency Law Officially Launched
by Mindy Cohn
New York State's new salary transparency law went into effect on Sunday.
The new law requires New York State employers with a minimum of four workers to disclose salary ranges for any job publicly advertised internally or externally.
Remote employees who work outside of New York but report to a worksite-based in the New York State are also included in the new law.
Government agencies or temporary help firms are excluded from the new requirement.
