NYC Opens Cooling Centers Amidst Heat Wave

As a heat wave descends on the city, NYC has opened a number of cooling centers where residents can go to get out of the heat and cool off. 

Four of the cooling centers are located in Boro Park, and are at the following locations:

• Borough Park Library: 1265 43rd Street
• Boro Park Y OAC: 4912 14th Avenue
• Agudath Yisroel of America Boro Park Senior Citizen OAC: 5602 11th Avenue
• AMICO 59th St Senior Citizen OAC: 590113th Avenue 

Residents are urged to stay indoors as much as possible and stay hydrated when going outdoors.
