NYPD Cracks Down on Illegal Bikes

Over a 10-day crackdown operation, the NYPD confiscated 1,670 illegal mopeds, scooters, dirt bikes and ATVs across the 5 boroughs.

Boro Park’s 66th Precinct is also taking part in the crackdown and has been confiscating many illegal mopeds and scooters off Boro Park streets. 

ATVs and dirt bikes are automatically confiscated as they can’t be registered as a vehicle in New York and therefore can’t be on any city roads.

Mopeds must have proper registration and license plates to be legal.
