By BoroPark24 Staff
NYPD Highway and Investigations Units paid a special visit to Boro Park on Wednesday to gain a deeper understanding of the neighborhood’s renowned volunteer-based community organizations.
During their visit, the officers toured the headquarters of Hatzolah, Chaveirim, Shomrim, and Misaskim, four organizations that play an essential role in supporting the community during emergencies and daily challenges. They were given a firsthand look at the scale and structure of the operations, all of which are run by dedicated volunteers who are on call around the clock. Also present was community Askan Reb Berish Freilich.
The NYPD members were impressed by the professionalism, coordination, and scope of services offered by these organizations, which include emergency medical response, roadside assistance, and support for families during tragedies.
