NYPD Officers Escort Joseph Disanto on His Final Journey in Boro Park

A moving tribute took place today at 17th Avenue and 45th Street in Boro Park, as numerous NYPD officers escorted the body of Joseph Disanto, a dedicated NYPD electrician and victim of 9/11-related illness, on his final journey.

Disanto served the NYPD faithfully and, like many others, was deeply impacted by the aftermath of the September 11th attacks. His passing marks yet another loss tied to the long-term effects faced by first responders and essential personnel who bravely served the city during its darkest days.

Today’s escort was a show of honor and solidarity from his NYPD colleagues, who lined the streets to pay their final respects.
