NYPD On Alert for Reckless Driving This Memorial Day Weekend

Ahead of Memorial Day weekend, the NYC DOT, NYPD, and MADD announced at a press conference today the annual initiative to crack down on speeding and reckless driving.
Throughout Memorial Day weekend there will be a heavy police presence around New York to look out for reckless drivers and ensure that everyone is safe. Police will also continue with the ongoing operation to remove unlicensed and unregistered vehicles from the streets.
“NYPD officers will be highly visible on New York City roadways during this long Memorial Day weekend to deter unsafe driving and, when necessary, to take appropriate enforcement action,” said NYPD Commissioner Edward A. Caban. “Motorists can expect targeted enforcement of many offenses, including impaired driving, speeding, and reckless driving.”
