NYPD, Shomrim Meet to Discuss Recent Rash of House Break-ins
Boro Park - Police brass and Shomrim officials had a meeting Wednesday night to coordinate on countering the recent spate of burglaries and car break-ins in heimishe neighborhoods.
Officers from the from 66th, 70th,63rd, & 61st precincts huddled with the Boro Park and Flatbush branches of Shomrim. Both sides said that the meeting went well and they discussed strategies on how to keep the community safe.
The NYPD Brooklyn South patrol posted on Twitter that this was an example "of our commitment to work alongside the community we serve to share ideas and develop plans to reduce crime and improve quality of life for all."
A Shomrim official said that the two sides traded suggestions. "They wanted to hear ideas from Shomrim, they shared ideas with us," he said. "They want to work more than in the past to hopefully be successful in fighting crime."
