Pedestrian Struck on 18th Ave; Victim Critical, Driver Arrested

A serious accident took place this evening on 18th Avenue and 49th Street, where a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and was found unresponsive upon Hatzolah’s arrival.

Hatzolah paramedics provided urgent on-scene care and immediately transported the patient to Maimonides Hospital, with a swift emergency escort down 47th Street due to the severity of the situation.

NYPD officers at the scene placed the driver under arrest as the investigation into the crash is underway.

A name for Tehillim has been shared, and the community is asked to daven for Noach ben Gitel for a refuah sheleima.
