People Flying in the Masses despite expensive Air Fares

After a long duration of covid restrictions, myriads of people are taking to the skies.

Security personnel at US airports are witnessing some of the busiest days at work since COVID-19 began. TSA data showed that agents screened 2,297,374 people on Friday, March 11th, marking it the 3rd busiest day over the last two years.

People are more than ready to pack their bags and head out for summer vacation despite the major increases in flight prices.

Airline prices are on the rise due to the huge increase in demand as well as the skyrocketing gas rates.

However, the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) expects travel and tourism to reach pre-pandemic levels in 2022, contributing nearly $2 trillion to the US economy.
