A gleaming, six-story, steel-based building that will provide 10 apartments and a cellar will soon replace the three-story building at 5222 14th Ave, according to demolition permits that have been filed this month.

An estimated completion date has yet not been announced for the property for which Joseph Inzlicht is listed as the owner.

Located between 52nd and 53rd Streets, the proposed 65-feet-tall property stands near the 55th Street subway station, through which the D train runs, New York YIMBY reported.

The new development will provide 29,236 square feet of shelter: with 24,048 square feet planned for residential space and 5,187 square feet of community facility space designated for a childcare facility.

Oleg Ruditster, of Engineering Professional Service is listed as the architect of record.
