Report Shows NYC Buses Are Slow and Unreliable
By Y.M. Lowy
New York City Comptroller Brad Lander released a report grading the city’s buses, and most did not do well. More than half of the 332 bus lines got a D or F because of delays, crowded buses, and slow service.
In Brooklyn, 13 bus routes earned an F, with some moving as slowly as five miles per hour.
City officials say they are looking at ways to improve buses, including better tracking and dedicated bus lanes.
For now, riders hope service will get faster and more reliable soon.
