Road Resurfacing Work Set for 43rd Street from Dahill to 12th Avenue

Road Resurfacing Work Set for 43rd Street from Dahill to 12th Avenue

By BoroPark24 Staff

Drivers and residents in Boro Park should take note of upcoming street work scheduled to start on Monday, July 7th, that will affect a long stretch of 43rd Street.

The NYC Department of Transportation has posted notices restricting parking along 43rd Street from Dahill Road through 12th Avenue due to planned road surfacing. Residents are advised to move their vehicles in advance to avoid towing and allow workers to complete the project efficiently and safely.

It’s worth noting that green infrastructure work was recently completed on 43rd Street between 16th and 17th Avenues, and it appears that resurfacing will take place there as well.

Photos taken by a BoroPark24 reporter along the full stretch of 43rd Street show significant road damage, with large patches and uneven surfaces in desperate need of repair. Local residents have expressed appreciation to the DOT for scheduling this important work during the quieter summer weeks, when many families are away and school traffic is minimal, helping reduce the impact on the neighborhood.

As always, BoroPark24 will keep you updated with the latest on roadwork in our area.
