Safrus Practitioners to Gather in Boro Park, Will Hear from Prominent Experts

Wednesday evening will find sofrim, and others from the industry of writing, producing, and checking sifrei Torah, tefillin, and mezuzos gathered at Ateres Chaya for an evening of education and shared purpose. 

Stam practitioners (sofrim and checkers) are obligated to review the halachos of their vocation regularly. This event will serve as an opportunity to hear from experts in the field, with great Rabbonim among them. 

In addition to prominent Rabbonim, and divrei brocho from the Kossover Rebbe, Rav Yaakov Meir Stern, a longtime senior dayan on Rav Wosner’s beis din in Bnei Brak, and today Raavad Beis Din Kehilas Yaakov, will address the event.

Rav Stern is the author of Mishnas Hasofer, a review of the laws of Stam, one of the most popular seforim used by sofrim today. He is currently in America on a visit.
