Shomrei Shabbos Shul Undertakes Renovation of Upper Floors

The Shomrei Shabbos shul has been a landmark in Boro Park for more than a century—and its place as a citadel of prayer for most of the 24-hour cycle. 

It’s difficult to find someone who has never stepped in for a tefillah in Shomrei Shabbos—and the renovations that have been made on the main floor in recent years are noticeable. 

In advance of Chodesh Elul, the shul has utilized the summer months to undertake a renovation of the upper floors, which are utilized for Torah and tefillah as well. 

There are tiles being affixed from floor to ceiling, and other improvements are being made to other parts, bringing a fresh interior to a building that is saturated with so much history.
