Skulener Rebbe’s Yohrtzeit to be Marked with Hachnosas Sefer Torah

It is coming up on three years since the passing of the Skulener Rebbe, zt”l, who carried the weight of Klal Yisroel with holiness and humility. His illustrious sons have continued the leadership of the chassidus in various locales—but the holy visage of the Rebbe, a beacon of kedushah and Ahavas Yisroel, is missed sorely every day. 

To commemorate his legacy, the chassidim came together to write a sefer Torah l’zecher nishmaso, and it will be inaugurated on the evening of his third yohrtzeit. 

The kehillah was being given the opportunity to inscribe an ois in the Torah on Thursday evening and Friday morning.

Sunday afternoon at 5:30, the Torah will be completed by the Skulener Rebbe shlit”a, at the home of R’ Menachem Yitzchok Goralnick, 5407 12th Avenue. Following this, it will be escorted to its home in the Skulener shul, and a festive seuda will mark this joyful conclusion, as well as serve as a seudas hillula, where memories and anecdotes from the Rebbes incredible life will be remembered. 

Monday afternoon at 6:15, the Skulener Rebbe will lead the chassidim to the tziyun of his father in Monsey, where heartfelt tefillos will pour forth from the crowds that will gather at this holy place on the yohrtzeit.
