Snowstorm Expected to Dump Up to 2 Feet of Snow

Boro Park - A storm city officials are saying will be the heaviest in the better part of a decade is expected to dump up to 24 inches of snow on Boro Park from when it begins Sunday until the time it washes out late Tuesday dependingon exact track.

The storm, predicts weather enthusiast Yakir Biegeleisen, will start early Sunday evening with a calm, light snow, more steady thru the tonight and It will turn heavy in the early a.m. hours of Monday, with up to two inches falling per hour. The storm will be accompanied by gusty winds to create blizzard conditions.

The peak of the storm will begin early Monday morning and continue until the afternoon or early evening. The National Weather Service forecasts between 18 to 24 inches will fall in the neighborhood of Boro Park by the time it’s over.

Light snow will linger on until Tuesday morning, but may stay on until the evening.
