SPARKS IN THE DARK -WE’RE LIVE!

SPARKS IN THE DARK -WE’RE LIVE!

Do you know that neighbor of yours who rushes out her door at 9:00 each day?

You may know her. You may know her children. You may also know there’s no father in the house. But do you have any idea what her mornings look like before you see her dashing out to work?

There are seven children to dress and send off. Breakfast messes. Often, there are tears. A typical morning, right?

But she stands in the middle of it all, and she’s… collapsing.

The pain. The responsibility. The financial burden.

There’s just so much she can deal with on her own.

But then Misaskim steps in and lifts her crushing burden, spreading sparks of support at every opportunity.

School supplies. Yom Tov meals. Yom Tov packages. Chol Hamoed events. Camp packages. A simcha fund. An emergency fund.

For her and the children, each spark feels like a giant hug. Someone is looking out for them! Someone cares! Someone remembers about them after all!

Misaskim has just launched a 36-hour campaign to raise $1,500,00 for the aveilim, almanos and yesomim in the community.

Long after the shiva signs, chairs, and covers have been removed, Project Yedid of Misaskim steadfastly remains at their sides. Throughout the year, Misaskim of Borough Park showers the almanos and yesomim with heartwarming sparks. Sparks of support, sparks of comfort, sparks of relief.

This is in addition to the services people are more familiar with; the shiva services (with warehouses in 10 neighborhoods), meisei mitzvah, and more.

These incredible services amount to an annual budget of four million dollars!

Gemach Nechumim $800,000

Mes Mitzva $300,000

Shabbos goyim $35,000

Chol Hamoed trips $180,000

Chanukah distribution $470,000

Purim distribution $400,000

Camp fund $200,000

Paper goods distribution $250,000

Shavuos cake & flower distribution $86,000

Simcha fund $450,000

Emergency fund $1,000,000

At Misaskim, the responsibility is enormous, especially since they do not receive government funding. The budget is rising drastically as more families are unfortunately added to their list.

The 36-hour campaign starts now, and will be live until tomorrow, at midnight.

Will you help Misaskim generate those sparks? They cannot do this without you.
