State Regulators Propose Con Edison Rate Hike
by BoroPark24 Staff
Con Edison's New York customers can expect a rate hike after a joint proposal was filed by the utility and state regulators to allow the rates to go up 12.5% over three years for electricity and 20% for gas.
Con Ed claims the hike is required to maintain reliability and safety and to meet New York's clean energy goals.
The public can still comment on the proposal, which the Public Service Commission will review before allowing for the rate hike.
