Subway Starts to Bounce Back
After dropping to below 500,000 riders, the subways are seeing an increase in passengers as phase one of re-opening New York City begins. According to New York City Transit Interim President Sarah Feinberg, the system is now seeing 15% of pre-pandemic ridership. As more return to work, this number is expected to rise further. In order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus among passengers, the MTA is requiring all who ride and work in the subways to wear masks
