Swift Action by BoroPark24 Staffer Leads to Arrest of 13th Burglary Suspect

On Tuesday afternoon, a woman who was walking on 13th Avenue in the vicinity of 46th Street, had her pocketbook snatched by a suspect who took off running down 13th Avenue. 

The incident was witnessed by a BoroPark24 staffer who quickly began to pursue the suspect and simultaneously alerted Shomrim, who were quickly on the scene. 

Boro Park Shomrim soon caught up with the suspect, apprehended him, and waited for police to arrive and arrest him. 

The BoroPark24 staff member who pursued the suspect told this writer, “I was happy to jump into action and pursue the perp, making him give back the pocketbook to its rightful owner, and have the criminal arrested by police.” 

The pocketbook was retrieved, and the thankful woman was soon reunited with her precious possession, thanks to the quick thinking and action of one concerned bystander.
