The National Weather Service Extends Heat Advisory until Friday at 8pm

The National Weather Service (NWS) has extended its Heat Advisory for New York City to stay in effect until Friday at 8pm, until which time the air will feel hot and more than 100 degrees.

“The heat index is extended, but it is expected to break by tomorrow with some thunderstorms, rain, and better temperatures throughout Shabbos and Sunday,” said weather enthusiast Yaker Bigeleisen.

“Stay in cool places,” said the NWS. “Drink lots of water, stay hydrated, and stay safe.”
