Third Heat Wave of the Season Forecast for Monday Afternoon
Boro Park - A third heat wave of the summer season is forecasted for Monday afternoon, when temperatures will hit in the mid-90s and stay there for at least three days.
The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for New York City beginning at noontime on Monday, when temperatures will rise to 97 degrees. Monsey and Kiryas Joel are included in the advisory.
The heat and humidity will likely continue until Wednesday evening, with heat indices in the mid to upper 90s.
The service is reminding New Yorkers that the best way to beat the heat is by staying in a cool place and drinking a lot of water.
