This Sunday: Satmar Mosdos to Inaugurate ‘Binyan Lipa Friedman’

Great anticipation is being felt in the Satmar chassidus as they prepare to formally inaugurate an enormous new building to serve as the Talmud Torah for the tinnokos shel bais Rabban. 

The building, which stands at the corner of Ditmas Avenue and Ocean Parkway, is enormous and holds dozens of classrooms, dining rooms, and a large shul to serve the thousands of talmidim. 

This Sunday, the talmidim will gather in the yeshiva building, being joined by the Satmar Rebbe who will preside over the chanukas habayis. 

At this special occasion, the Rebbe will also inscribe the first letters in a brand new sefer Torah being written by Reb Lipa Friedman, the donor of the new building. 

As the thousands of talmidim will line up outside to welcome the Rebbe to their new Talmud Torah building, it will be with an eye toward many years of shaping generations within its hallowed walls.
