This Sunday: Spinka Kehillah to commemorate the unforgettable R’ Tzvi Henig z”l at Hachnosas Sefer Torah
It was in the days leading up to Pesach 5780, at the height of the coronavirus pandemic, when Boro Park lost the unforgettable Reb Tzvi Henig, z”l.
A beloved member of the Chakal Yitzchok—Spinka Kehillah, a long time mispalel at the Beis Medrash on 56th street,
Reb Tzvi is fondly remembered as a ehrliche Yid who always had a kind word for everyone, He was a person that was always trying to help others and always thinking about other people, every Motzah Yom Kipper he would not break his fast until everyone had what to eat if he saw a guest from Israel in shul and they had nowhere to eat he would go around asking everyone if they can host a guest, he had a huge heart for another Yid!
Immediately upon his passing, his many friends in the Kehillah and his devoted family had resolved to dedicate a Sefer Torah in his memory. As his first yohrtzeit has passed us, and the beautiful Sefer Torah has been completed, the Spinka Kehillah is set to carry out this promise.
This Sunday afternoon, the last letters will be inscribed at the home of the Spinka Rebbe shlit”a, who was exceptionally close to Reb Tzvi
Friends and acquaintances are invited to participate in The Kesivas osios at the Rebbes home between 2:30-5:00, 1462 56th street, from where it will proceed with song and dance to the Beis Medrash where the celebration will continue—surely bringing pleasure to his neshamah on high.
