TODAY: Cornerstone Laying at 'Mivtzar Hatorah' of Belzer Community in Boro Park

History is being made in the Belzer chassidus as the cornerstone will be laid at the site of the Mivtzar HaTorah which is being built on 46th Street, near 15th Avenue. The event will draw the entire Belzer chassidus, from Boro Park and beyond, and will be attended by the Rebbe's son, Rav Aharon Mordechai Rokeach, shlit"a, who made his way here especially for this event.

The cornerstone isn't just any stone, but one which the Belzer Rebbe himself has poured cement into, a fitting cornerstone for this building where so much Torah will be learned and mastered in the coming years. 

The building is being donated by Reb Shloime Igel, a longtime philanthropist and patron of Belzer institutions in Boro Park and beyond. Feverish preparations are ongoing, up to the event, which is set to begin at around 3:00 this afternoon. 

A massive dais is being set up, and space for the men, the women, and the children, who will come to witness this historic event.
