TODAY: Ft. Hamilton Exxon Gas Station to Reopen Following Explosive Blaze

By: Yehuda Alter

On Erev Pesach, while customers were getting their last crumbs of chometz at the Zoom kosher convenience store, an electrical fire broke out.

The fire reduced the shop to rubble, but also rendered the adjacent Exxon gas station unusable for safety reasons.

It took months of work, and overcoming red tape, for the owners to get the gas station reopened.

The gas station will reopen today, Sunday, just in time for the busy travel season—in a location where people are entering and leaving Boro Park.

The owners tell Boropark24 that the Zoom food shop is also under construction, and will be ready to serve customers in the coming weeks, bigger and better than before.
