TODAY: Hachnosas Sefer Torah to Khal Bobov-45

This afternoon (Wednesday), following an uplifted Yom Tov of Shavuos and Kabbolas haTorah, Bobov-45 Chassidim will escort a brand-new sefer Torah to their Shul on 45th Street.

The Torah has been written by Reb Chaim Yaakov Israel, one of the community’s prominent chassidim, who has long harbored the dream of fulfilling this mitzvah.

The joyous procession will depart the Israel home at 54th Street and 15th Avenue at about 6:00 P.M. Portions of 15th Avenue will be closed off for the procession to make their way, with song, music, and dance, for the ten blocks to the Beis Medrash on 45th Street—where it will be welcomed by throngs of chassidim who will continue the joy and the holiness of kabbolas HaTorah.
