TOMORROW: Chanukas Habayis for the Breathtaking New Building of Talmud Torah Imrei Emes Gur
By Y.M. Lowy
The Chanukas Habayis for Talmud Torah Imrei Emes Gur is set to take place tomorrow afternoon in the presence of the Rebbe on his visit from Eretz Yisroel and thousands of participants. The yeshiva officially moved into the new building on 2 Adar, the yahrtzeit of the Beis Yisroel zt”l.
The property, purchased during COVID, sits on a large, quiet property along 12th Avenue, between 63rd to 64th Street. The spacious grounds include a huge front lot designated for outdoor play, and the building itself is expansive. High ceilings, large windows, and beautiful renovations create an inviting atmosphere throughout. The building includes over 25 classrooms with a Menahel on each floor. There are more than a dozen private help rooms for tutoring or other children’s needs, and a large ballroom serving as a lunchroom. The crown of the building is the beautiful bais medrash.
BoroPark24 spoke with Yochi Fleishman of YF Productions, who is producing the event. "YF Productions is working hard to ensure that both the men’s and women’s sections are properly arranged so that all attendees will be able to see the Rebbe", Yochi said. "The upcoming Chanukas Habayis will be the only public event during the Rebbe’s current visit to America, drawing an expected crowd of thousands. Men will be situated on the 64th Street side, and women on the 63rd."
"The street will be closed for the event, but efforts are being made to keep it as non-disruptive as possible," he pointed out, "Drivers in the area and attendees are asked to follow posted signs and instructions to keep the area safe for all."
All staging, seating, and tables are being provided by the famous Rentastic Party rentals (https://rentasticparty.com/)
