Train Station Construction in Progress Just Outside Boro Park

Big changes are underway at the 118-year-old Church Avenue station, where crews are working to add a new entrance and elevators. The B and Q line stop is getting a third entrance and new elevators to make it easier for everyone to use.
It’s part of a project to make 15 Brooklyn stations ADA accessible. That means better access not just for people with disabilities, but also for shoppers, parents with children in strollers, and anyone carrying heavy things.
The work also includes two new stairways and upgrades to the platforms. The MTA says the project should be done by the end of the year.
