Trump Arrives in LGA Ahead of Arraignment, NYPD Says no Credible Threats

Former President Donald Trump is set to arrive at LaGuardia Airport today ahead of his expected arraignment on Tuesday at a New York courthouse. This comes following an indictment brought against him by New York County District Attorney Alvin Bragg. 

Ahead of his departure from Florida, Trump announced on Truth Social: “I will be leaving Mar-a-Lago on Monday at 12 noon, heading to Trump Tower in New York. On Tuesday morning I will be going to, believe it or not, the Courthouse. America was not supposed to be this way!"

Trump is known for the deep support he has among his base, and there is some concern of unrest in the city around this unprecedented event. 

However, the NYPD says it is prepared to handle protests and called in all of its officers to be on duty in the city during these days.
