Twitter Permanently Bans Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene for ‘Covid Misinformation’

Twitter on Sunday permanently banned one of the most outspoken ultra-right Congresspeople for “repeated violations” of Twitter’s “COVID-19 misinformation policy,” the social media giant said in a statement on Sunday, after Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R-GA) main twitter account (@mtgreenee) was suspended. Her secondary account @RepMTG remained active on the website.

Greene pushed back against the decision on GETTR, a conservative social media platform, seen by many as an alternative to Twitter, calling Twitter “an enemy to America” that “can't handle the truth.”

Ex-Staffer: AOC Can Win Primary Against Sen. Gillibrand

A former staffer with New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrnad told the New York Post that if Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez mounts a primary run against the junior senator, AOC will likely win the primary, considering Sen. Gilibrand is very inactive in the State and rarely shows up to any events.

“It wouldn’t at all surprise me if there were truth to the rumors that [Gillibrand] is not planning to run, but instead is on the lookout for an administration position or a cushy private sector job,” the former staffer said.

Other Democratic strategists agreed, noting that Gillibrand is an “invisible senator,” with one Democratic state senator wondering why “New York only has one senator.”

Israel OK’s 4th Vaccine for People AGes 60+ and Medical Personnel

Israel’s Prime Minister announced on Sunday that he has ok’d a fourth vaccine booster shot to Israelis aged 60+ and medical workers who've had four months passed since receiving their previous shot, the first country to do so.

Prime Minister Naftali Bennet also said that the country will likely lift its travel restrictions in the coming week, five weeks after Israel closed its borders to many foreigners aimed at curbing the spread of the Omicron variant of the Coronavirus.
