Two Injured in Early Morning Moped Crash

The NYPD Crime Scene Unit is investigating after two people riding a moped were injured in an early morning crash at the intersection of New Utrecht Avenue and Bay Ridge Parkway.

The incident occurred when the moped collided with a parked car. One of the riders suffered serious head injuries, while the other sustained less severe wounds. Emergency personnel responded quickly, providing aid before transporting the injured to the hospital.

To assist in the investigation, officers deployed a drone to enhance scene coverage. Authorities are still working to determine the cause of the crash.
