Two Suspects Arrested After Attempting to Steal Catalytic Converters Overnight

Two suspects were arrested and a third managed to escape the NYPD after they attempted to steal a catalytic converter at around 4:00am on Thursday morning on Foster Avenue and East 7th Street.

The NYPD arrived to the scene before the suspects managed to complete the job and they tried to flee, running into a nearby building.

The area was canvassed by the NYPD and one suspect managed to flee, but two others were arrested once they were spotted on the roof of the building.

One NYPD officer was injured when one of the suspects jumped from the building, swiping the NYPD officer on the way down.
