UPDATE 3:55pm:

Following the terrorist attack in which three men were injured, Hamas claimed credit for the attack and said that this was just the first in a series of retaliations for an Israeli military attack that killed three Palestinian terrorists earlier that day in the village of Jaba, south of Jenin.

The suspects had opened fire on Israeli troops, who then returned fire.

Video from the aftermath showed a chaotic scene, with dozens of police and medical first responders rushing to the scene. A clip surfaced in which one of the gunmen was trapped in an alleyway.

Prime Minister Netanyahu was in Rome at the time of the attack.
