Viznitz-Yerushalayim Chassidim Will Inaugurate Sefer Torah at New Beis Medrash

The Viznitz Yerushalayimer Rebbe, shlit”a, divides his time between Yerushalayim in Boro Park, even as he attends to medical askonus which consumes the Rebbe. 

Since he assumed the leadership of the chassidim following the passing of his father, The Viznitz-Monsey Rebbe, the chassidim have been davening in temporary quarters. 

Now, the announcement comes that the renovation of 1321 42nd Street has been completed in time for this past Shavuos, while the Skverer Yeshiva will remain there during the week. 

A hachnosas sefer Torah will take place, escorting a new sefer Torah to the shul, this coming Sunday. The Torah is being donated by Reb Yoel Gutman and was written in the memory of the Viznitz Rebbe Zt"l. 

It should be noted that this Shul building holds a storied past, and has served as a shul for more than a century. For many decades it was known as Knesses Israel/Hebrew Community of Boro Park, and had illustrious Rabbonim serving at its helm. It was later purchased by Rav Kleinman, and later by the Skverer chassidim who now share it with the Viznitz-Yerushalayim chassidim. 

As the mispalelim will rejoice along with the Rebbe in the streets of Boro Park, they will escort the sefer Torah to the shul that has now served Yidden of the neighborhood for more than a century.
