Water Main Break in Manhattan Disrupts D and F Subway Service

By BoroPark24 Staff

Subway service on the D line has been partially suspended, while the F line is experiencing significant delays due to a water main break near 103rd Street and Central Park West.

The disruption has caused widespread commuting challenges during peak hours.

Riders on the D and F lines are advised to consider alternate routes, including the 1, 2, and 3 trains, which are running normally and can serve as reliable alternatives.

The MTA has also reported additional service changes and delays on other lines, including the E, M, and Q, as the ripple effects of the incident continue.

The Department of Environmental Protection has confirmed that the water has been turned off, allowing repair crews to assess and begin addressing the damage. Commuters are urged to stay updated on service alerts and plan extra travel time.
