Workers Clean Up ‘Kill Cops’ Graffiti on BQE Road Sign

Brooklyn - Workers cleaned up a road sign on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway that was defaced with a hateful anti-police slogan earlier Monday.

Someone had spray painted “KILL COPS” on an exit sign on the Manhattan side of the expressway. It comes as rioters violently protest police following the death in Minneapolis of George Floyd.

Imagery of the shocking image first appeared on twitter Monday morning, outraging people. The Department of Transportation sent workers later in the day to paint over the signs.
