Wednesday evening was a busy one for police and emergency services in multiple areas of Boro Park—and BoroPark24 was on the scene to report on them.

About 7:00 in the evening, a serious two-car accident took place on Dahill Road and 44th Street. The FDNY responded to the scene and moved the vehicle—which had its airbags deployed—to the side of the street until it could be towed.

At about 8:20, the FDNY responded to smoke emanating from a manhole on 17th Avenue and 60th Street. They remained on the scene until the smoke stopped.

Around the same time, the NYPD was conducted two string operations around the area of 8th Avenue, resulting in multiple arrests., as we reported here.

Around 11:00, the FDNY responded to a fire on 19th Avenue and 55th Street.

A few minutes later, emergency services were on the scene of an accident at 13th Ave and 74th St. One patient was transported to the hospital with injuries.

The night concluded with an incident in which a drunk driver was arrested after hitting and causing damage to two vehicles on 12th Ave and 72nd St.
