Another Rite Aid in the Neighborhood to Close

The Rite Aid at the corner of Bay Parkway and 60th Street will close on May 12. It’s the second store in the neighborhood to shut down this week, following the recent closure on 18th Avenue.

Rite Aid is going through a big change after filing for bankruptcy last fall. As part of that, the company is closing many stores around the country it considers underperforming.

People in the neighborhood are surprised and upset. Many used the store for pharmacies and everyday items, and now they’ll have to look for other places to go.
