BDE, Harav Chaim Ber Grunfeld Z”l, Close Confidant to Bobov Rebbe Ztz”l

It is with deep sadness that we report the passing of Harav Chaim Ber Be”R Shulem Grunfeld Z”l of Bobov, he was in his high 80’s.

Reb Chaim Ber was one of the close confidants with the Bobov Rebbe Ztz”l and helped build many of the Bobover Mosdos that still operate to this day.

He was a decades long director of the Bobov Mesivta and summer camp located in PA, and helped buy and build the entire campus.

Reb Chaim Ber was an icon in Bobov, and after surviving the Holocaust with no father he grew up under the wings of the Bobover Rebbe Ztz”l and always shared his great memories to anyone willing to listen and learn from his great stories.

The Bobov Rebbe Ztz”l composed the famous song on “Vhaya Bayom Hahi Yituka Bshofer Gudol” on his way to the Chupa of Reb Chaim Ber Z”l.
