We are saddened to report on the passing of Mrs. Grunwald, a Holocaust survivor and longtime resident of Boro Park. She was in her mid 90’s.

She was born in the town of Temeshvar, Romania. Her parents were R’ Yisrael Yisucher and Rochel Lev.

She was fortunate to survive the Holocaust, after which she married Reb Yisrael Chaim Grunwald, a grandson of the Arugas Habosem.

She worked her entire life, supporting her husband who would begin his daily learning schedule which began at 2:00 am! She was deeply admired for her good cheer and constant smile, and always having a good word for everyone.

She was nifteres on Thursday, leaving behind a beautiful Torah family.

The Levaya will take place 9:00 in the morning at Shomrei Hadas chapels.
