YS GOLD

We regret to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Rivka Leah Scharf, a"h, a longtime Boro Park resident and matriarch of a beautiful Torah family. She was 79 years of age.

The nifteres was the daughter of Rav Nosson Horowitz, zt"l, a rov in Monsey and in other kehillos for many years since his arrival in America in middle of World War II. She was a scion of a prominent rabbinic dynasty, and traced her roots to many luminaries in the Chassidic movement.

She was married to Reb Moshe Yaakov Scharf, and together they established beautiful Torah generations.

She was sadly nifteres this morning at the age of 79, leaving behind a grieving family and many friends and admirers.

The levaya will take place 1:30pm at Shomre Hadas. To watch it live click here.
