Quick Work by Shomrim Leads to Arrest After Jewelry Theft

By BoroPark24 Staff

Two thieves who carried out a brazen jewelry theft are now under arrest, thanks to the swift response and coordination between Shomrim volunteers and the NYPD.

The incident unfolded on a Boro Park street, where the suspects pulled up and called a woman over to their car window under the pretense of asking for directions. While she was trying to help them, they grabbed her jewelry right off her and tossed fake pieces at her before speeding off.

Shomrim received the call and immediately sent members to the scene to speak with the victim and gather details. At the same time, Shomrim’s IT team began tracking the suspects’ movements. As members canvassed the area, one of them spotted the vehicle and began giving live updates.

With coordination between Shomrim and the NYPD, officers arrived shortly after and placed both suspects under arrest.
