BDE: R’ Avrum Meir Bierman, z”l

It is with deep sadness that we report upon the passing of Reb Avrum Meir Bierman, a pillar of the community and a longtime Torah supporter within the Boro Park neighborhood. He suffered a heart attack at 69 years of age. 

The niftar was the right hand of, ybl”ch, Rav Yaakov Yosef Halberstam, Admor of Beis Chaim Yehoshua, and was the founder and prominent supporter of the mosdos Darkei Chaim, named for the holy Sanzer Ruv. 

He was the co-founder and co-namesake of the clothing firm G&B, still widely frequented by residents of Boro Park and beyond.

He was known as a great ba’al chessed and ba’al tzedakah, and his loss is shocking to his family and all those who knew him. 

The Levaya will take place Sunday morning at 11:00 am at Beis Chaim Yehoshua, 17th avenue and 49th street.
