BDE: R’ Shabsi Fischer, z”l

We regret to inform you of the sudden passing of Reb Shabsi Fischer, z”l, a longtime Boro Park resident and mispalel in the Nitra Beis Medrash. He was in his early seventies. 

The niftar was the son of Reb Tzvi (Hashy) Fischer, a legendary ba’al tefillah and ba’al mesirus nefesh. 

He was raised within the Nitra Kehillah—in a tradition of ehrlichkeit and uncompromising in every matter of Torah and Yiddishkeit—and was among the esteemed talmidim in the Nitra Yeshiva in Mount Kisco. 

He was likewise known for his deep yiras Shomayim. 

He raised a family of ehrliche children who follow in his ways. 

He moved to Lakewood four weeks ago, and sadly passed away in a sudden manner this afternoon. 

The levaya will take place this evening at 8:00 in front of the Nitra Beis Medrash in Boro Park.
