BDE: R’ Yitzchok Shmiel Richtman, z”l

We regret to inform you of the petirah of R’ Yitzchok Shmiel Richtman, a Holocaust survivor and longtime Boro Park resident. 

He was born in Romania to Reb Tzvi Richtman. He endured the travails of the churban and was fortunate to survive. 

In Boro Park, the niftar was extremely close to Rav Chaskel Roth, zt”l, with whom he was a roommate back home in yeshiva.The niftar worked in the jewelry business, but always made time to learn. 

During the lifetime of his parents, he was legendary in his kibbud av v’eim. The niftar was exceptionally close to his children and grandchildren and was very dedicated to them. In general, he was known as a fartzatishe Yid, a relic of the old home, of which not many are left today. 

The levaya will take place at 10:15 a.m. at the Karlsburger Beis medrash.
