BDE: Reb Duvid Fischman, z"l

We regret to inform you of the passing of Reb Duvid Fischman, z"l, an ardent Viznitzer Chossid and longtime Boro Park resident. He was 68 years of age. 

The niftar was born in Montreal to his father Reb Shmiel Fischman, a Viznitzer chossid from home who raised his son in the same tradition. 

As a bachur, he learned in the Viznitzer yeshiva in Bnei Brak, and became tethered with heart and soul to the Yeshuos Moshe of Viznitz. He maintained this ardent connection for many years, even as he settled and raised a family in Boro Park where he davened regularly in the Viznitzer shtieblach on 51st Street and 47th Street. 

In later years, he forged a connection with the Kossover Rebbe, zt"l, and davened in his shul as well. 

He struggled with health issues for the last two years, and passed away on Isru Chag Succos in the morning. 

The levaya will take place at the Kossover Beis Medrash at 4:00 in the afternoon.
