BDE: Reb Mordechai Stuhl, z"l

We are deeply saddened to inform you of the passing of Reb Mordechai Stuhl, z"l, at the of 74. He was the devoted longtime administrator of Yeshiva Ch'san Sofer in Boro Park, and was beloved and admired by many. 

The niftar came from humble beginnings, and learned in Yeshiva Ch'san Sofer under the previous Mattesdorfer Rov. Those who remember him from those days recall a bachur who was an exceptional masmid who devoted himself to learning day and night. This was a trait that he continued for the rest of his life. He loved Torah and he lived Torah. 

Reb Mordechai lived on the other end of Boro Park from the yeshiva, but nevertheless trekked every single shabbos, rain or shine, to daven in the yeshiva. Those who remember him from these many years recall his eidelkeit and his refined treatment of every person. 

In his work at the yeshiva over many years, he gained many admirers as he did his work with faithfulness and devotion, ensuring that thousands of talmidim and their rebbeim would continue their avodas hakodesh. 

He was unwell in recent months, and was niftar this afternoon, leaving behind beatiful Torah generations. 

The levaya will take place at Yeshiva Ch'san Sofer at 6:30 this evening.
