BDE: Reb Reuven Bleich, z"l
We regret to inform you of the passing of Reb Reuven Bleich z"l, a longtime Boro Park resident who was affiliated with the Kapishnitz and Stoliner kehillah. He was 93 years of age.
The niftar was born to his parents, Ephraim Fischel and Gittel Bleich, in the Bronx in the 1932. Following the path of Torah, Reuven Bleich defied the odds, and went on to a lifetime of Torah and yiras Shomayim. He was a talmid of Reb Michuel Ber Veismandel.
In his 70s, Reb Reuven acquired semicha from Yeshiva University--a phenomenal accomplishment that lends testament to his devotion to Torah learning even in his advanced age.
Among his children are Rabbi Yaakov Bleich who spent many years of pioneering kiruv in Ukraine, Rabbi Avrohom Bleich who serves as a rov in Detroit, Rabbi Moshe Bleich who serves as a Lubavitcher shliach in Massachusetts, as well as other children who lead upstanding Torah lives.
The levaya will take place on Wednesday afternoon at 12:30, and kevurah will take place in the Agudah section of the Har Shulem Cemetery. To watch it live click here.
Yehi zichro baruch.
