Campground Construction #3: What's New at Machane Zera Avraham Krula
By Y.M. Lowy
After moving from Mountaindale, Machane Zera Avraham Krula is starting a new chapter in Fallsburg. While the camp has been running for many years, this is its first summer in the new location. To prepare, the camp is working on a major building project to fit the growing number of campers.
At the center of the new site is a four-story building that’s now under construction. It will include a large shul, a mikvah, seven classrooms, six bunkrooms, and two lunchrooms. The building is completely new and planned from scratch to meet the camp’s needs.
Construction began right after Pesach, with crews working on a tight timeline to complete the building in time for the upcoming summer. The total cost of the project is estimated at $6.7 million.
This isn’t just a regular upgrade. It’s a full rebuild in a new place, with a setup designed for the future of the expanding camp. As summer gets closer, the building is moving ahead quickly to welcome the campers in time.
